Paul came out late at night to replace my leaking water heater. We weren't home. He came, I opened the garage from afar, he removed the old heater, and replaced it with a beautiful model. I am certain it was not what he wanted to be doing at that time of night. We came home to a clean home, rusty water cleaned up, and an awesome water heater correctly installed. The regional inspector approved the work in a flash and told me that I had a great heater. We are happy.
gthsmh During our kitchen upgrade, my wife wanted Natural Gas cooktop to replace our current electric cooktop/oven. Working with Paul we were able to route a new gas line from the main meter through a finished basement to the kitchen area to provide gas to the cooking area. Completely satisfied with the work performed, price paid, permitting experience, and overall work preformed. Also used Paul to replace the pressure regulators for one to the main house and one to the sprinkler system. Again, completely satisfied.

Security and Widefield are one area to us, and they share the same housing history. The homes are largely mid-century, and many still have the supply piping and the bathrooms they were built with. Out here that means water heaters running well past their expected life, tub and shower valves worn out by decades of use, and water pressure that has dropped so slowly nobody noticed it going.
Fix the leak, or replace the run?
Old galvanized steel pipe corrodes, and the signs are hard to miss: pinhole leaks that come back in a new spot, discolored water, and weak flow at every tap in the house. Sometimes a targeted repair makes sense, and then that is what we quote. Sometimes the run has truly reached the end and is due to be replaced. We will tell you honestly which it is, and where the work needs a permit, the permit is included.

Close to base
It is a short run from Colorado Springs, so we cover Security-Widefield regularly, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You get a straight answer on what is wrong and an upfront price. One thing we check on the older service lines here, the pipe that brings water into the house, is the pressure regulator. It is the valve that holds the water pressure at a safe level, and we often find it has failed.

Why is my water discolored?
In Security-Widefield the cause is often aging pipe. Many homes here are still on their original galvanized steel supply lines, and corroded pipe can discolor the water. We check the lines and tell you whether a repair or a new run makes sense.

I keep getting pinhole leaks. Should the pipe be replaced?
Repeat pinhole leaks in corroded galvanized pipe are a sign the line is wearing out. Sometimes one more targeted repair is the right call, and sometimes the run is due to be replaced. We look at the pipe and tell you honestly which, with a written price.
